Porta Pro is a classic V-shaped sound signature - which means it is naturally warmer, and the sub-bass tends to roll-off a little. KPH30i is more balanced - has a more pronounced midrange, sweeter treble and tighter bass. I have both, but on some days there is no better headphone for my ears than the mighty little KPH30i.
